OpenAI unveiled GPT-5, the latest iteration of its groundbreaking AI model, marking another milestone in the technology that has reshaped global business and culture. The new model will be accessible to all 700 million ChatGPT users, reinforcing OpenAI's dominance in the generative AI space.

The release comes as the AI industry faces mounting pressure to deliver returns on massive investments. Alphabet, Meta, Amazon, and Microsoft—which backs OpenAI—are projected to spend nearly $400 billion this fiscal year on AI infrastructure.
